Today we’re chatting with Larry Lawrence, author of the The Whitney Chronicles series. (Read our review of his latest book inthe series, No Greater Love, here.) Take it away Larry:
I began writing while I was still working as a full-time pastor and worship leader residing in North Carolina. When I retired in 2015, I decided that I would turn my hand to writing and began a journey that fascinates me to this day. I have published four books in the Whitney Chronicles series, and another is due out very soon.
A little over two years ago I began writing a blog entitled “Finding God in the Mysteries of every day.” These daily short devotional notes can be found on my website, or on Facebook or twitter at LarryLa27767062.
The purpose of my writing has been to encourage and model in some ways the practical application of following Jesus in every aspect of life, as well as to encourage people who may think there is little purpose in life after a certain age to step out and try something new.
The Whitney Chronicles # 4 tackles the current reality of human trafficking and drug smuggling and their impact on smaller communities. The story is an attempt to tell the story with heart and honesty, and to perhaps offer some direction for folks impacted by the problems.
